Privacy Policy

VibeCheck (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a code quality and security analysis tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at vibecheck.expert.

We believe in transparency. We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service, and we never sell your data to third parties.

Code Snippets

When you paste code for analysis, we process it to generate your Vibe Score. Code submitted through the free tier is processed in memory and is not permanently stored on our servers. Paid tier users who opt in to scan history will have results (scores and issues) stored — but the source code itself is not retained after analysis.

Account Information

If you create an account (paid tiers), we collect your email address and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, features used, scan counts) to improve the product. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

• To provide scan history and dashboard features (paid tiers)
• To process payments for paid plans
• To send transactional emails (receipts, scan results, account updates)
• To improve the accuracy and performance of our analysis engine

We do not use your code to train AI models. We do not share your code with third parties. We do not sell your personal information.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics cookies (such as privacy-respecting alternatives to Google Analytics) to understand how the product is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and edge functions
• OpenAI — AI-assisted code analysis (code is sent for analysis only, not for training)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We select partners who meet our standards for data protection.

Free tier: Code is processed in memory and discarded after analysis. No data is retained.

Paid tiers: Scan results (scores, issues, metadata) are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your scan history at any time from your dashboard. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your scan history
• Opt out of non-essential communications
